The legs of this chair are made by hand-blowing molten glass (that has been heated to more than 1000°F) into a cone shape. On cooling, the facets are ground and polished to produce the finished leg shape. The leg design uses an ingenious bronze pin to link the chair-seat frame to the foot, ensuring no weight is taken on the decorative glass leg.
