To coincide with London Craft Week, PAD and Frieze, Silverlining will host ’Innovation in Craft’,
a two week exhibition showcasing our latest progressive ideas, craftsmanship and finishes
through hand sketches and jewel-like material and finish samples.

from our craftspeople, and the launch our new collection ‘Enriched Sensibilities’.

As part of our latest work exhibition, demonstrations will take place of how
leatherwork, marquetry and carving are advanced by combining traditional skills
with the latest materials, science, and technology.
Leatherwork
Tooling, embossing, stamping, cutting, stitching, carving, forming.

Marquetry
Shading, complex assembly, use of colour, use of natural figure and grain.

Carving
Contemporary marks, exploring different timbers, carving combined with new materials and finishes, the use of traditional hand tools alongside modern mechanical tools.

'Provenance' Collection
Our material and finish samples serve as inspiration for clients.
They illustrate the Silverlining process from a designer’s creative spark, the discovery of unusual and contrasting materials and story of a maker’s craft.
