This commission for a pair of bedside cabinets combines beLEAF elephant ear leaf plant-derived vegan faux leather fabric with fumed end-grain oak oysters. Bronze-metallized resin fills the oak grain, emphasizing the annual growth rings of the wood oysters (thin slices of oak cut across the tree). Hand-sculpted relief carving defines the dividing veins and fluted cabinet ends, both finished with moon gold leaf gilding. These features catch light and shadow, creating a stunning sculptural silhouette. Topped with fluted Emperador marble, the design continues the sculptural theme.

Tree frog miniatures in sterling silver can be found inside and outside the cabinet, their movement suggested in a secondary hue of etched-filled white-gold metallised resin.
