Inspired by the spectacular 10-metre-wide vortex whirlpool at Saltstraumen in Norway, a natural phenomenon that has thrilled visitors for hundreds of years. Designed for a long-standing Silverlining client and collector who loves the sea, the brief was for the cabinet to house an extensive collection of reading  and sunglasses.  

The mesmerising aqua-blue 3.66m long cabinet is an extraordinary feat of both contemporary design and craftsmanship – and, importantly, provides enough drawer space for 72 pairs of glasses, as well as additional storage in six cupboards.
