Etched and patinated copper, figured English walnut and embossed mocha coach-hide leather mimic the effect of surface tension fusing together water droplets on an impervious surface.
The sample showcases the creation of an identical droplet pattern using different exacting techniques: wood micro-marquetry; de-bossing and embossing of coach-hide leather; and acid etching and patination of copper.
