Multiple marquetry layers of dyed veneers are pierced using CNC technology to create a pattern inspired by the various shapes and sizes of the scutes or scales found in snake skins.
The design is utilized on pairs of doors in a private residence in the United States, the layered colours specifically chosen to reflect the surrounding landscape.
