Inspired by fertile landscapes, the graphic art of Eugene Masselink and the mirrored effect found when piercing the lip of a breaking wave the sundered effect is accentuated by repeating the reflected patterns seen in the mirrors of the raised surfaces.
The natural iridescent qualities of straw and mother of pearl add to the movement created by the overlaying circles, further elevated by hand-blown art glass.
Materials - Dyed straw, black mother of pearl, polished nickel and hand-blown glass.
