Layers of variegated palm-leaf ‘leather’– bordered by polished almond-gold inlay edges – wrap around contrasting sections of textured and white-oxidised Douglas fir and brown-and-black-flecked palm wood.
Created as a vegan alternative to animal leather, palm-wood leather is produced by treating palm leaves with glycerine and water to make them soft and pliable.
