By flooding the natural vellum skin with a layer of clear gloss lacquer it gives the surface a whole new dimension and depth. Like being submerged beneath water, the lacquer intensifies the colour, texture and natural characteristics of the vellum skin.
The accented polished metal inlays frame the colour like the aperture of a camera opening to draw in the effects of light. The pearl marquetry centre is laid out in a dynamic pattern but as it catches the light only the subtlest impression emerges.
