Cascade
Inspired by the movement of water, Cascade captures a sense of flow and rhythm, through its shifting veneer grains to the wavelike contours that define its form. Cascade is a tactile exploration of colour, material, and fluidity — a celebration of craftsmanship through reuse.
The marquetry surface is composed of a rich tapestry of through-dyed veneers, including ripple sycamore, lacewood, birdseye maple and quilted maple, each contributing its own tone, grain, and character. Sculpted side profiles are built from stacked layers of leftover coach-hide leather and through-dyed veneers, carefully assembled to echo the fluid patterns of the marquetry.
Materials: Custom-dyed sycamore, lacewood, bird eye & quilted maple wood veneers, multi-coloured coach-hide leathers and stainless steel.
