Traditional silver smithing techniques are employed to seamlessly combine custom dyed figured anigre and sterling silver to create this pattern inspired by the Hawaiian hibiscus flower. The delicate flower centres, or stigmas, are picked out with white mother of pearl set into ultra fine lines of more sterling silver.
Designed in response to a client’s desire to commission a jewellery box featuring their favourite flower, the silver inlay is used to signify the contents of the box.
