The intricacy of the sample edge is a fine example of remarkably delicate marquetry, made possible through precision laser-cutting technology.
Triangles of ripple sycamore diminish in size as they fall over and hit the edge. Tramlines of engraved Sterling silver inlay frame a crossbanded cocobolo concave band and marquetry edge.
The intricate marquetry pattern lends itself to an intense band of decoration along the edge of a study sliding door. Partly hidden when the door is closed but spectacularly revealed when the door is open or when it’s opening.
