Pangolin Armour
Inspired by the layered protective keratin scales of the critically endangered Asian Pangolin and ecclesiastical forms found in church windows the stepped pattern changes subtly in scale creating a warm textured surface.
The lacewood scale are stained and ebonised adding to the depth of the layered design, the natural rays in the quartersawn lacewood shimmer crating a subtle movement in the pattern.
