Traditional Techniques Re-interpreted

Repousse Flower

' Repoussé ' Flower' uses an ancient technique normally associated with metal. The material (leather in this case) is first raised and then chased (hand stamped and carved) with decorative detail.

The design is a floral interpretation of a nautilus shell.

This technique and pattern can be scaled up and projected onto wall panels or to create large artworks.

We used this on staircase to bring dense areas of intense texture and detail, combined with larger background areas of soft tactile padded leather.
