Sweeping arcs divide the finely textured English oak into changing directions, allowing the surface to catch and scatter light differently as the viewpoint shifts.
Graduated finishes move across each face, fading from white to exposed oak on one side and from deep blue to natural timber on the reverse.
As the colour recedes, the underlying grain and texture are gradually revealed, blurring the boundary between applied finish and the material beneath.
