Blue Tonal Diffusion
Tonal Diffusion captures the movement and changing character of water, from the dark depths of a waterfall to the white crests of breaking waves and the fleeting shimmer of sunlight across its surface.
Rather than applying colour directly to the face of the material, pigment is introduced to the reverse of the lacewood, where its natural capillaries draw it through the veneer. The resulting tones emerge organically, creating a series of flowing gradients that transform the timber into a landscape of movement and depth.
Shades of blue pigment migrate through white, oxidised lacewood, captured beneath a full-gloss, hand burnished finish. Polished nickel-plated end caps frame the composition, with sculpted bevels catching the light around a tactile, stacked leather detail.
