FOSSIL DINING TABLE
The extending dining table, which was designed in collaboration with interior designer Taylor Howes, reflects the Cotswolds' landscape and geology. The area is known for a vast array of fossils such as brachiopods, bivalves, ammonites, belemnites, echinoids, crinoids, fish, reptiles and even mammals formed in the Jurassic period between 175 and 155 million years ago.
The table pedestals and top are finished in dark-toned fumed oak with a contrasting light-toned central limed oak spine, in which fossils were carved using shallow relief carving techniques.
Fumed and limed English oak.
