For this stateroom desk, a returning client once again partnered with Yacht Designers Bannenberg and Rowell. The piece takes its inspiration from the intricate ice formations and breathtaking blue icebergs of Cierva Cove, located just south of Antarctica, a place visited during a special trip.

The ice-like aesthetic is rendered through the etching of shard motifs onto ice-white koto wood veneer, which is then filled with a shimmering pearlized lacquer.

The blue tones of the rippled sycamore veneer are brought to life using Silverlining’s innovative dyeing process, offering an almost limitless range of options for creating vibrant, contemporary furniture.
