This bespoke rise-and-fall library desk, designed by Annette English + Associates, is a seamless blend of exquisite materials and innovative design. The desktop is wrapped in luxurious off-white Spinneybeck upholstery leather. Dyed vellum cloaks the front and back panels, all framed in quarter-cut American black walnut veneer. When the centre section is raised, additional interior surfaces are revealed, also finished in walnut, lending warmth, structure, and continuity to the overall form.
