SHIMMER CREDENZA
A credenza built around the same digitally carved surface developed for the Shimmer sample, its rounded corners and continuous front concealing three long drawers beneath a single unbroken carving pattern. Cut using micro-CNC and generated through parametric design in Grasshopper, the texture undulates across the surface in alternating directions, creating a rippling optical effect that shifts as the viewer moves, reminiscent of wind across water.
British-grown oak in natural, fumed and iron-dyed finishes is used across the piece, celebrating native timber heritage alongside historical finishing methods that deepen the grain while preserving the wood's essential character. A fine inlay of polished copper bisects the front, cutting through the contrasting light and dark oak sections with precision.
